Dr. Zach Janatpour is a physician (medical doctor) and an active-duty officer in the United States Army. He was born and raised in San Mateo and graduated from Hillsdale High School in 2010. Dr. Janatpour studied Biochemistry at UC Santa Cruz and was accepted to his top choice M.D./Ph.D. program at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. After eight years in the program, he received his M.D., Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology, and was promoted to the rank of Captain.
